Zhengzhou Dahe‑Road Swivel Bridge

Zhengzhou Dahe-Road Swivel Bridge is the world’s heaviest double-sided T-rigid-frame swivel bridge of its kind and a key transportation project for Zhengzhou Fourth Ring Road. With a total swivel weight of 60,000 tonnes crossing multiple operational railway lines, it adopts the in-air rotation closure technique. Φ270 mm 42CrMo alloy round steel is applied to manufacture the heavy-duty central pin shaft at the core rotating spherical hinge. Q355B round steel is also used for steel-structure tie rods and embedded pins. The excellent strength, shear-resistance and impact-resistance of round steel ensure precise rotation control and long-term structural safety for the heavy-tonnage bridge.
